CHECK OUT SOME EXAMPLES FROM OUR SCHOOLS HERE

Technology can be a powerful tool for learning.  The OECD Digital Education Outlook for 2023 found that students who spent up to one hour per day learning on digital devices outperformed those who did not by 14 points, even after taking socio-economic status into consideration.  However,  schools and systems need to plan well to ensure that the use of technology doesn't exacerbate equity issues in learning.
The advent of AI provides real opportunities for schools to engage students in learning in ways that would not have previously been possible. At its best AI could bring about a new age of student agency, enable students to adapt to areas of the educational landscape that weren't previously possible, and engage with learning they were previously unable to access.
But the advent of AI also brings dilemmas for school leaders.  Linda Darling-Hammond, citing the forecasts from business leaders about the jobs of the future argues that education needs to reprioritise learning outcomes. Whilst Adriano di Prato
appreciates some of the advantages that AI can bring, whilst reminding us to treasure that things that it can't bring - the things that make us human.
